Where do I start? the incredible food, the incredible service, the avalanche of flavor? This is my now go to place for comfort food, I feel incredible after eating here. You are really missing out if you don't try this restaurant. The plantains were awesome and the beef was tender. I have never had Turkey this good and the spices in the rice was perfect. 5 stars is not enough, they should have an option for 10. (Pro Tip get the Fanta in the glass bottle)
Very very pricey, maybe due to high import costs as everything is clearly imported directly from Nigeria. So worth the cost, but cant frequent here too often at the prices. Big plus’: -Food is AMAZING, very flavourful -Neat dine -in area -Staff is EXTRAORDINARY. The jacked gentleman does a fantastic job explaining the foods & recommendations, & the 2 other ladies working had a very pleasant auntie vibe. -Music is Amazing, quite literally the best playlist ive heard in any business! -Very popular restaurant with amazing community vibes. They know their customers, always great to see community business’ thriving Awesome place if u want to try authentic nigerian food!
Hands down the BEST AUTHENTIC NIGERIAN FOOD in town . The food was finger licking good that you want some more. The customer service was excellent! The owner and the people there were so friendly and welcoming! *We are from Alberta, just landed in YHM and were craving some Nigerian food. Don't forget to stop by if you are here Hamilton! I had a meal catered to an event, the customer service, organization and the food were amazing. Thank you Temmy and I will definitely order again. Next time I will come in to meet you in person. Everyone enjoyed the Jellof rice, it was delicious. It was the first time for most of us.
Literally the best Nigerian restaurant in Hamilton! Best jollof too. Plantain is so sweet and yet still firm. Fried to perfection. The jollof has a perfect amount of spice! Pricing is amazing I paid 15 for all of this! They offer the chicken or turkey for the same price! Even my Ghanaian friend loved the jollof. The customer service is amazing! Everyone is respectful and professional! I went later and wasn’t too busy but they do tend to pick up during the day. I recommend this place to everyone because it’s that good! Don’t hesitate to drop by the owners are very kind and there’s something for everyone! Also the MEAT PIES ARE so good! Not too doughy and the meat is soft and flavourful on the inside.
Today is my first visit. Also the first time having Jollof rice. I will edit and give my impressions. Well, I don't have any comparison to make as this is the first time however, the rice is my kind of spicy and flavourful. I had mine with chicken and it was delicious and I think the price was reasonable. The setting is leaning more towards take out but, the interior is very clean and there is a TV with smooth music videos to up the ambience. The staff are unassuming, courteous and professional and will guide you to make a choice from the menu. I felt their demeanor and hospitality was genuine. Seems to be a great spot to pass through on the weekend or on the way home.
I live in Oakville and just discovered this Nigerian restaurant today. To my surprise, the food was great and the prices were much cheaper than most African restaurants in Toronto. This place also allows dine in and they gave us a large quantity of food for just 15-20 dollars. I am not African but I always enjoyed Nigerian food since I was in college. This is definitely a great place to try out even if you are not African.
Me and my friend came to day craving for Nigerian food, i ordered egusi soup with swallow ( bando) and extra fish and my friend got jollof rice with chicken and plantain on the side. The food was so good and the spice level was great. If you want spicy you have to ask them. The two ladies who were working there are all lovely and friendly. It might be bit pricey but it’s worth it. I love it and we will for sure come back. The photos is midway eating because we were excited and forget to take pics before touching the food but nevertheless amazing.
